Flexible Copywriting Support

Project Details

What We Need
  • Ongoing copywriting support for 15-20 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: email campaigns, website content, brochures, one-pager/fact sheets, or fundraising/promotional materials

  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.

Additional Details

We are looking for someone who is well written and can put together blog posts and similar content. This can be content that will inform the reader about our program, could teach a skill, or something newsworthy occurs.

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have a lot of content, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have you name it, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to teach more students

We want to generate far more content that will engage potential donors and our supporting audience. An additional copywriter will assist in this.

Our Mission

Photo Start makes a difference in the lives of children from underserved communities by teaching them life skills through photography.

What We Do

"A Future in Focus"
Photo Start prepares students to create their futures by using photography to teach them critical skills, helping them find their voice, and supporting their growth.
Founded in 2016, Photo Start partners with schools and community organizations to operate free photography programs for students ages six and up.

We believe that knowledge is power and teach students the tools they need to break the cycles of poverty and unemployment into which they are born.

While we currently operate fourteen programs across Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, and the United States, we are expanding to reach as many students as possible.

All of our programs are free to our beneficiaries, and are made possible through generous in-kind donations of equipment and financial support.

We use an 'Each One, Teach One' model, where students mentor and teach one another as they advance in our program.

This gives our students a chance to develop their leadership and communication skills, while also making available new and exciting work opportunities.

We hope you'll join us in our mission to bring joy, hope and opportunity to our students!
